General Manager

The General Manager is responsible for the overall management of the cooperative and attaining the objectives, as established by the Board of Delegates in accordance with the Co-op's Ends Policies. The General Manager is hired by and reports directly to the Board of Delegates, which is elected by the members of the Cooperative. The General Manager has the authority to hire, direct, structure, and evaluate all other staff.

Front End Manager (FEM)

The Front End Manager, who works alongside with two other FEMs, is responsible for leading the Front End Staff. Collaborative communication skills, excellent customer service skills, flexibility, good judgement, and experience with staff management are critical to the success of this position. This person is also responsible for managing and improving customer service, cash handling, profitable Front End systems, department expenses, cleanliness and other aspects of Front End operations.

Cashier

Cashiers hold the most externally facing position at the Co-op, and are expected to demonstrate a visibly welcoming disposition and be customer-focused, helpful, and energetic. Cashiers are responsible for independently ringing up all standard customer transactions. Cashiers are also responsible for communicating information about the Co-op’s products and as well as how to join the Co-op.  Cashiers report directly to the Front End Managers and also receive direction from Managers on Duty.

Produce Stocker/Receiver

The Produce Stocker/Receiver receives, prepares, stocks and promotes product for the Produce department. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, attractive and well-stocked display, throughout the department. The Produce stocker/receiver works very closely and collaboratively with other produce staff. It is expected that the Produce stocker/receiver provide prompt and courteous assistance to members and shoppers, as needed.
