Bargaining Unit Positions

  • Part-Time Grocery Stocker/Receiver- Stocker/Receivers receive, stock and promote products in an efficient and focused manner and provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and helping customers to get what they need. Stocker/Receivers report to either the Grocery & Wellness Manager & Assistant Manager or the Produce Manager depending on what is stated in their offer letter and they may receive direction from Leads as well.

  • Part-Time Cashier - Cashiers hold the most externally facing position at the Co-op. They are expected to demonstrate a visibly welcoming disposition and be customer-focused, helpful, and energetic. Cashiers are responsible for independently ringing up all standard customer transactions. Cashiers are also responsible for communicating information about the co-op’s products and persuasively talking with shoppers about how to join the co-op. Cashiers report directly to the Front End Manager and receive direction from Shift Leads as well.

  • Shift Lead - The Shift Leads support and manage daily tasks Mariposa’s Front End and other departments, support and encourage consistent implementation of Mariposa’s customer service standards, support the Front End Manager in identifying and implementing processes, policies and standards.

  • Full-Time Overnight Stocker/Receiver - Stocker/Receivers receive, stock and promote products in an efficient and focused manner and provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and helping customers to get what they need. Stocker/Receivers report to either the Grocery & Wellness Manager & Assistant Manager or the Produce Manager depending on what is stated in their offer letter and they may receive direction from Leads as well.

Non Bargaining Unit Positions

  • IT & POS Specialist - The IT & POS Specialist provides end-to-end support for systems and hardware used at Mariposa Food Co-op,  and provides friendly and helpful support for all staff who rely upon these systems and devices. The IT & POS Specialist coordinates with department leaders to help them assess their IT and Point of Sale needs and priorities. As needs arise, the Specialist coordinates with outside contractors for IT work that is beyond the scope of their responsibilities or can be done more efficiently through contracting. The IT & POS Specialist must have exceptional people skills with an open and supportive attitude towards working with a diverse array of staff with varying degrees of technological fluency. This position reports to the Cooperative Executive Officer. 

  • Security & Loss Prevention Associate - The Security and Loss Prevention Representative is responsible for supporting and managing a safe, secure and welcoming Co-op for all staff and customers. They will exhibit a sense of urgency when responding to all emergency situations, monitor daily activity on the sales floor to ensure policies and procedures are being followed, and will maintain a physical security presence on the sales floor while interacting with customers to ensure a safe and pleasant customer experience. Security and Loss Prevention Representatives support and encourage consistent implementation of the Co-op’s customer service standards and support the Facilities Manager and Front End Manager in identifying and implementing processes, policies and standards.
