How to pick up your pre-order

If you plan to shop while picking up your pre-order, we advise you do so before you head to the register. When you're ready to checkout, please tell your cashier your name, owner number (if applicable) and pre-order item. If you pre-ordered a turkey or Plainville Farm dinner kit, your $20 deposit will be used toward the total cost of the item. Please note the following pick up dates and times:

Koch's & Howe turkey pick up: 8 am - 10 pm | Saturday, November 18th - Wednesday, November 22nd 

Plainville Dinner Kit and pie pick up: 8 am - 10 pm | Tuesday, November 21st - Wednesday, November 22nd

Turkeys will arrive on Saturday, November 18th and must be picked up by Wednesday, November 22nd. Dinner kits can be picked up beginning Tuesday, November 21. Become an owner to save on your holiday favorites.

Plainville Farm Turkey Dinner Kits

We’re excited to introduce Plainville Farms holiday dinner kits to our turkey program. Dinners include one, 10-12 pound oven roasted turkey, homestyle dressing, turkey gravy, and cranberry relish. Limited availability.

Non owner pre-order price: $79.99

Pre-orders due: November 19th

Please note, a $20 deposit is required to pre-order a holiday turkey. This amount will be applied to your purchase when you pick up your turkey in store. Because turkeys come in many different sizes, we request that you specify your preferred range. While we cannot 100% guarantee you the exact weight, we will do our best to ensure you get the turkey you reserved.

Not ready to commit? A limited number of turkeys will be on sale in store beginning Saturday, November 18 while supplies last.

Who are our turkey farmers?

Howe Turkey Farm, Downingtown, PA

Nathan and Julie Howe have been farming turkeys since 2008. Every year, around 4,500 turkeys arrive at the Howe farm as one-day poults in the beginning of July. Howe all natural turkeys are fed a vegetarian diet. Read more about their farm in the 2014 fall issue of Edible Philly.

Koch’s Turkey Farm, Tamaqua, PA

Koch’s Turkey Farm is a pioneer in raising antibiotic-free turkeys with an all vegetarian diet. Farming since 1939, the Kochs do not use animal by-products or by-products of any kind such as out of date bakery goods, fish meal, or pet food by-products. Koch’s Turkey Farm is GAP (Global Animal Partnership) and Certified Humane approved. The farm provides its turkeys with twice the amount of barn space as is required by normal commercial growing practices.

Variety & Pricing

All pie pre-orders are due Sunday, November 12th. Crust Vegan Bakery pies may be ordered through their website by 12 noon on Sunday, November 19th. Pick up your holiday pie between Tuesday, November 21st and Wednesday, November 22nd. A limited supply of holiday pies will be available for purchase in store beginning Monday, November 20th.

Who are our bakers?

Crust Vegan Bakery, Philadelphia, PA

Women-owned and operated, Crust is a vegan bakery (and Mariposa favorite!) Bakers Shannon and Meagan - the vegan baking queens of Philly - have been baking out of a local commissary kitchen since August 2015. Crust baked goods are free of artificial colors, flavors and preservatives. Everything is hand-made with all natural ingredients and 100% vegan.
