5/14/2012- UPDATED with new photo!
On May 8th, Mariposa was presented with a Grand Jury Award by The Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia. Mariposa was recognized along with Re:Vision Architecture, Community Design Collaborative, and Gardner/Fox Associates, Inc. for our preservation efforts while restoring our current home in the former Belmont Trust Company Building. We would like to thank The Preservation Alliance for the nomination, as well as our partners in the expansion efforts for their contributions to the project!
Our Grand Opening Celebration was amazing! On April 21st, 2012, Congressman Chaka Fattah and many other friends and supporters help us celebrate our new store. Click the image below for more photos!
On Wednesday 3/28 Mariposa was visited by folks from Equal Exchange for a chocolate and coffee demonstration. Equal Exchange is a worker owned co-op based out of West Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Equal Echange specializes in fair trade organic coffee, tea, chocolate and snacks from domestic and international farmers. Many thanks to Stephanee and Andrew for stopping by and sharing their great products! We carry numerous Equal Exchange items in the new store; stop by and check out our selection!
